North Asheville
Century Celebration
In celebration of their home’s 100th birthday, these north Asheville residents sought out The Hands of Sean Perry Co. to give their house the gift of functionality and structural integrity for decades to come. The historically respectful makeover also included a remodeled kitchen that stayed true to the home’s original 1923 character.
Working with DLV Roofing Systems, the team got to work replacing the old roof — including exposing the home’s original chimney, installing a new stylized chimney cap, and adding new skylights to brighten up the home’s interior. Then, they updated all the old siding and repainted the entire exterior of the home.
Inside, they replaced all interior doors for better functionality and then began the extensive kitchen renovation. Working within the homeowners’ taste, the crew built a custom rectangular-shaped range hood, installed shiloh beaded inset kitchen cabinetry and white ice polished granite counters, and incorporated Motawi tiles into the backsplash above the range. With respect to the home’s 100-year history, the team also worked with the homeowners to design mosaic “tile rugs” on the kitchen floor.
